Bexar County OIC Announces Ambitious 8.5-Acre Mixed-Use Development Project

San Antonio, Texas, December 18, 2023 – Bexar County Opportunities Industrialization Center (BCOIC) is thrilled to unveil plans for an innovative 8.5-acre mixed-use development project poised to make a significant impact on the community. This forward-thinking initiative includes the creation of a High-tech Employment and Training Center, a sprawling 2-acre Community Garden, and a dedicated 2-acre Tiny Home community.

 

Key Features of the Project:

 

  1. High-tech Employment and Training Center (30,000 SF):
  • Equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, the center will serve as a hub for cutting-edge training programs and employment resources.
  • Focused on fostering skills development in emerging technologies, the center aims to empower individuals for success in the rapidly evolving job market.

 

  1. Community Garden (2 Acres):
  • The 2-acre community garden is designed to promote sustainable practices, community engagement, and food security.
  • Residents and community members will have the opportunity to participate in gardening workshops, fostering a sense of environmental stewardship.

 

3, Tiny Home Community (2 Acres):

  • A dedicated space for sustainable living, the Tiny Home community will provide affordable housing options and promote minimalist, eco-friendly lifestyles.
  • The community will prioritize inclusivity and a strong sense of social connection, creating a unique living experience for its residents.
